Bell Bottom Fever

I know that you have all noticed the hottest trend that’s managed to come around YET again and take us by storm, right? Remember those photos from your parent’s 70’s party nights to your middle school days when you thought you were the hottest thang in the streets? What might those photos/memories have in common? They both are probably peppered with “bell bottoms”…the disco era trend that started off as an American sailor staple piece and managed to climb into the hearts (and closets) of people all over the world.

It was an immediate purchase after noticing these satin-ish, high waisted, form fitting flare leg pants onLavishAlice.com.  Upon receiving, I snatched the package from my front stoop and ran inside, eager to see how they fit.  Falling into obsession after only one leg was pulled up, I quickly noticed how perfectly tailored they were--almost seeming to be made just for my body.  I stared in the mirror in awe at this sheer magnificence and knew exactly the final touch needed. The pants were the definite main attraction, so I threw on a fitted, high neck crop with lace detailing to give them (the pants) just enough competition while not taking too much shine.

Sequins and Snakes

Curve hugging and a subtle tailored look combined with a snake-ish print drenched in sequins? Yeaaa…it was questionable to me at first too. However, when I slid this perfection of a dress on, I knew that it would captivate anyone who saw it. Hell, it had to. So much attention was put into this baby, yet it manages to create that simple shape and be that dress that can be worn to various events — parties, nightclubs, social hours, art showings — the list can go on.
