One-Piecing It
2016-05-12
At the last minute, I was invited to a networking event that was located at a local art gallery and I was nervous that I would not be able to find anything to wear. Consequently (and thankfully), I remembered this little one piece that I ordered from stylewe.com. I can get carried away with one piece's, because...well...they're easy! I have a lot of stuff going on in my life, so for me, a simpler wardrobe is awesome.
As I slipped into the cool, satin fabric, I realized that it might be just a tad bit revealing for this particular night. But, you guys know me - that doesn't stop no show. That's just the perfect excuse to do what I love anyway - throw a jacket or sweater into the mix. So, I threw in my favorite trench in the world - a Burberry classic - tan, light, and tailored (pictures coming on another post). The perfect addition for this one piece.
Before heading out, I turned to the ol' trusties - the Chanel babies that can usually unwittingly accompany any outfit and kill it. A shoe so classically bad, that I slightly forget how magical they are until I pull them out and am literally shocked each time I see them. It is so important to invest in classics - timeless pieces that can be worn with anything. Heading down the stairs, I checked my hall mirror before leaving, popped my collar and was on my way.

I just LOVE slipping on a dress and walking out of the door. Dresses like this one makes it THAT much easier for me to get ready in a jiffy and with my super busy life, I find myself thankful for sleek, statement pieces like this that coupled with the $25 price tag makes it that much better.
Sometimes you get to a point where you just feel burned out. You're not really sure what's to come and you may not be where you want to be or thought you would be at this point in your life. It happens...to everyone. And, I hate to burst your bubble, but while this may be an unprecedented experience for you, it probably won't be the last.
