Sequins and Snakes

Curve hugging and a subtle tailored look combined with a snake-ish print drenched in sequins? Yeaaa…it was questionable to me at first too. However, when I slid this perfection of a dress on, I knew that it would captivate anyone who saw it. Hell, it had to. So much attention was put into this baby, yet it manages to create that simple shape and be that dress that can be worn to various events — parties, nightclubs, social hours, art showings — the list can go on.

The first noteworthy part of this dress is the fabric and sequin detail. I can honestly say that I don’t remember the last time that I have seen anything that was snake-print and sequined at the same time, but I LOVE IT. With every turn the dress seemed to take on a different identity — whether it seemed to be a color change or even just the sunlight hitting a sequin(s) in just the right way. I fancied the way that it seemed to adapt with every turn — seemingly silver in front of the parking deck wall as I got out of my car, a rich golden color in direct sunlight, and even a subtle chartreuse-like color that presented itself every so often as I walked.

I love a dress with a simple structure while managing to give that minimal tailored look simultaneously — and this one hit the nail on the head. But, before it got too boring, and with Lavish Alice being the almighty queen of details, a front flap was added to give it a little pizazz (as if it needed it). The good thing about a dress like this is that it doesn’t need much help and is complete on its own. Add nude pumps, a simple bracelet and earring combo, and you’re good to go!

Prime That Face Hunty!

Summertime is officially here and it’s definitely a hot one. What’s worse than “beating” that face to perfection only to have the makeup slide off in this 100 degree heat? The fact that I have such oily facial skin, makes me someone who is always on the hunt for that perfect primer and after trying the best of the best (from $5- $50), I finally found a winner. Check out the BEST drugstore primer to add to your makeup arsenal…and it’s only $7!

Fringed Spunk

Every once in a while it's nice to shake things up a bit and wear something with more of a kick — and this all white, fringed skirt, dripping of everything a lady deserves to make her feel like a princess, certainly completed the task. Plus, pairing it with a casual button up top loosely tied around the waist to give even more spunk? It's a win-win situation.
