Subtly Spring

A true fashionista should always be able to pull off a look that requires minimal effort while still managing to impress. On this particular day, I must have pulled out about 10 pairs of pants and several tops before these grey, textured pants caught my eye. The soft fabric along with the subtle texturized print and cool grey tone gave me that "spring is finally here" feeling.

I immediately rummaged through my drawers in search of my hi-low off white tee that I knew would complement them perfectly. To add a touch of personality to the outfit, I decided to tie up the front to reveal a tiny bit of midriff. This is what I absolutely LOVE about the latest sensation - hi-low tees. They allow you to create entirely different looks with just one shirt AND best of all, you can find them at extremely reasonable prices pretty much anywhere you love to shop.

As you all know, I am obsessed with throwing something over an outfit - be it a jacket, sweater, or in this case, an off-white duster that has proven to be timeless and classic. Not to mention that it literally goes with everything. Introducing my favorite duster from hm.com, which you will probably see in many other pics because it is so versatile. You can dress it up or down, throw it over your shoulder or even tie it around your waist and it just works. Definitely a wardrobe staple for any time of the year.

I wanted a little extra "oomph" and decided to go with some shoes that I never get the chance to wear by Brian Atwood - the Fruitera's. They are a glittery piece of goodness that even the most emphatic fashionistas could hardly resist.

Beasting Multiple Projects

Whew! It's been a minute! Between managing events, my 9-5 as a project manager, house hunting, PM training, and keeping up with my business-- ADOOR, I have failed to blog as often as I would like. And, needless to say-- this has spurred the creation of this blog. I am not the only one juggling out here and I know this. Whether it's school, work, and kids--we all have to make those tough decisions to decide what comes first and how to get it all done. I actually had to sit here and ask myself what was most important to me and the answer that I tried to repeatedly overlook is that it all was. Unfortunately, I realized that I was having difficulty putting enough effort in every bucket. And the hardest part was figuring out why.

Sequins and Snakes

Curve hugging and a subtle tailored look combined with a snake-ish print drenched in sequins? Yeaaa…it was questionable to me at first too. However, when I slid this perfection of a dress on, I knew that it would captivate anyone who saw it. Hell, it had to. So much attention was put into this baby, yet it manages to create that simple shape and be that dress that can be worn to various events — parties, nightclubs, social hours, art showings — the list can go on.
